It's about 2 weeks away from my trip to the great white north, and while I start to think about boring stuff like what work clothes I'm going to take and how I can pack just a carry-on for my trip so I don't have to check luggage, I thought I would fill you in on the details of my trip.<br /><br /><b>Depart Kentucky Sunday 2/27</b> at 6:00 am <i>(yes that means even at our tiny airport I have to be there at least at 5!) </i><b> </b><br /><b>Arrive in Toronto Sunday 2/27 </b>circa 11:00 am<br />Sunday is luckily mostly a "free day" All day Monday (6 am - 8 pm) I will be in meetings/ networking. Tuesday is only 1/2 day of meetings.<br /><b>Depart Toronto Tuesday 3/1</b> at 5:00 pm<br /><b>Arrive back home Tuesday 3/1</b> at 9:00 pm <br /><br />So it's a pretty whirl-wind trip. As sad as I am that I won't get to experience much of Canada, I am researching restaurants close to our hotel (so I don't have to live on room service) and possible shopping to at least see Toronto a little bit. I still have lots on the pre-trip to do list like call the bank and figure out how to spend money in Canada and see if you know my cell phone will work there. I wish I could eat at Le Cellier while I am in Canada.... <br /><br />I did find out that I will be in San Francisco May 9-12 and at Disney World a few weeks later May 18-22 for Vacation, HOORAY!!!!! I've been working REALLY hard this week and putting in lots of time at the gym. I've done my 30 minute work out 4 days so far this week, and hope to squeeze in 2 more. This time last year I was in the process of changing jobs and hoping so dearly that my new job would involve "some required travel." Now, one year later I look at my schedule for 2011 and I swear I think I will be gone more than I am home! Of course mixed in with that "some required travel" is personal travel. In preparation for a busy travel year, last Friday I applied for my first passport. Boy what a process that is. Toronto, Canada. Oh and did I mention in February...the middle of winter! When I think of Canada, I tend to think of a rustic woodsy scene, and in full disclosure the only thing I know about Toronto is that is where <a href="http://www.hgtv.ca/sarahshouse/">Sarah's House</a> (on HGTV) is filmed.
